The closest living relative to the T-rex

Some say chickens are the closest living relative to the dinosaur. And they act like it.

But for the full Jurassic Park experience, raise turkeys. They have over 30 specific calls.

My great grandmother had the ability to understand some bird calls. Birds told you what was going on. In those days, I doubt birds weren't believed to be related to dinosaurs.

These days, I can get a general sense from my quails that they're getting better able to anticipate when I'm going to take their eggs. They have a mourning call.

Even though they're not broody and won't hatch their own eggs, they might regard actually their own eggs as personal belongings that are being taken from them. From the sound they make, it's probably much more than that. There's a latent maternal instinct that can't be easily bred out.

In addition, the rooster always sounds the alarm that the egg thief has arrived, and that all hens should be on alert.

What's it like living with dinosaurs? Just another day at the office.

But sometimes it pays to remember that we have more in common with the character, instincts, and feelings of dogs and dinosaurs than with the unnatural enemies of Christ.
